Yeah, like calophi said, the fic pretty much starts at the realization. The build up is something I would have definitely explored more had this been a chaptered fic, but since it was a oneshot I had to use solely the narrative to try and get it to this point without just ignoring the build-up completely.
I am very glad you liked it otherwise though! Perhaps I'll look into doing another oneshot focusing more on a the first inklings of a relationship, since that definitely has potential as well. :)
