This was basically my reaction after reading this installment. This story just keeps getting more epic, seriously. I can't tell you how much I'm enjoying it; every bit of it makes me want to spazz and flail all over the place in a fit of glee. There was SO MUCH awesome about this chapter that I can't even express how I felt about it in words, but for your sake, I will try. XD
The beginning is so action-packed and exciting, and yet it flows so well. I always struggle with writing action sequences, so I'm really impressed here, especially with how much emotion there is going on. And it's mysterious without being pedantic, and maybe I just really like lovers rescuing each other, because I want all jfkdfjdljfdklafjdlajfkda ♥ ♥ ♥ for most of that section.
AND THEN IT JUST GOT BETTER. They're so . . . together in this. I love it. And comforting America over his fear of the supernatural, and wet clothes and cuddling to get warm and going back and finding AMERICA'S HAT COMPLETELY BY ACCIDENT was amazingly perfect and just wow. ♥ So genre and perfect.
THEN SEX. XDDD You should write sex scenes more often, and this was so cute and hot and sweet and them and . . . and I can totally see it, wow XD. Rolling around on the floor in an Egyptian tomb XDDD. BUT THE HAT and just all of it, and England on top and how in love and how much each others' equals they seem and THE HIEROGLYPHICS AND HISTORY NERDITY which I forgot to mention earlier and just ♥ I feel so spoiled.
And I'm really loving the plot in this fic so far, too--it keeps moving without ever being too . . . present or clunky? And is it a mummy/curse/what is going on?
