This is such a late comment, and for that I apologize. (I was waiting until I finished the series before reading this.)
This? Was wonderful. It's the happy ending I wish we could have gotten for the series. I loved it all; how they had chocolate cake, how Kyoko wanted to become a chef (of course! XD), their night together, and them visiting Kyoko and Mami at the cafe.
And you worked in the romance really well too. When Homura wakes up and still sees Madoka, I got very emotional.
And of course, after the first kiss:
When Madoka stepped back, she dropped her gaze to the ground and mumbled, “Sorry it took me so long to realize how you felt, Homura. I’m a bit dense sometimes.”
